Frequently asked Questions about our fees and charges:

Q : How long does it take to assess my application?

We ask you to send a document (a bank compliance form). Once we have received this document we can generally assess your application within three working days. Should you be declined after full assessment or if you wish to cancel your application, WorldPay will refund your initial set up fee, minus a small administration fee of 50.00 GBP, plus VAT).

Q : What is the remittance fee?

This is the fee when we send you money collected for purchases on your website. It reflects the cost to us of sending the money through the banking system. For WorldDirect customers we charge 35p for payment into your account in sterling in the UK and 2.50 GBP in any other local currency. For information on cross-border settlement in any currency that is not the country's local currency, see Cross-border Settlement Charges

Q : When will I receive payments and will you require any security?

Our standard remittance process is to make payments to you weekly, four weeks in arrears. We reserve the right to require some form of security before remitting funds to you if it seems to us that the risk associated with your business makes this appropriate. We also reserve the right to require some form of security (if not previously required), or an increase in existing security, if we feel that any changes to your business or circumstances which impact on your business make this appropriate. The minimum amount we will pay you in any one payment is 10 GBP if this is to a UK bank account, or if remittance is in a currency other than sterling in the UK, the currency equivalent of 100 GBP. If the amount in your account is below the minimum amount, you will not receive a remittance. For a list of minimum remittance amounts in local currencies, see Cross-border Settlement Charges
