Installating the Shopping Cart SystemCart Intro - Install - FAQ - Templates - Tokens - Database - Purchase - View Basket The shopping cart requires very little installation. At the core of the shopping cart is a single stand-alone PHP script, which is compatible with most websites and versions of PHP. Follow the instructions on this page to install and configure the shopping cart for first use. Purchase Installation and CustomisationThe cart is expected to plug and play on most websites. If your website is a non-standard configuration or for any other reason we can install the shopping cart for you. If you choose this option we will also customise the look and feel of the shopping cart as closely as possible with your website. We will also advise on how you can benefit most effectively from the advanced features of the cart.
If you decide not to purchase this Installation and Customisation option, we are still able to respond to email enquiries regarding installation. However, telephone support is only available by purchasing the Installation and Customisation package, and enquiries relating to the paid service also given priority over enquiries relating to free support. Shopping Cart Files SummaryThis section describes the files used by the shopping cart. The cart consists of a single PHP script, a settings file, and a small number of supporting files. Mandatory supporting files include the templates for all pages and emails, the log files, and a file for the next order number. Optional files used by the cart include a product list file, and exported orders.
A single installation of the core cart scripts can power a shopping cart on multiple websites on the same web server. In this case, there would a subfolder for each website using the shopping cart script, containing the same files and folder structure as 'store1'. NB: Each website would require a licence in the scenario above.
